Te Hiku Manaiakalani Outreach 2 First Movie Festival
This year has been our first Te Hiku Movie Festival, the movies have been played on the big screen at the Te Ahu Cinema in Kaitaia on Thursday 7 November.
This is one of the lucky movies to be chosen from our school. Congratulations to everyone involved in the production of this movie.

Hi my name is Brendon, I am 9 and I go to Mangonui school. I enjoyed the acting of the cave men. You reminded me that how amazing cave men used to be.
ReplyDeleteYour movie was amazing! My group also did a movie and it went to the film festival! Our movie was the one when a Nerd was getting bullied. How did you get the different colours when time travelling. The audio at the start didn't match up properly but anyways keep up the great work!

Another amazing film Kaingaroa I love your ideas that took place in your film it really made you think about where writing really came from. Next time I think it would be best if you took a little more time in your acting and make everything more dramatic, other wise you are all stars and can really go somewhere well done!! ReplyDeleteWe have just watched your collaborative Manaiakalani video. It looked fantastic and your ideas were creative! Our class discovered what it was like 'back in time'. We loved the background sound and the cavemen. Zion said it was funny that the cavemen would always fall down when they used the time machine. Mrs Pohlen - our classroom teacher really liked the pink floral wreath on one of your students.
Pasimati, wondered if you had mufti day when you where filming or does your school not have a uniform? Spencer would like to know how it felt to make your video and how long it took your class to produce and edit your film.
Joshua is wondering what your favourite colour is? Pepe is curious and asks who inspired your video topic? Nadal is asking if your class is studying history and the past? Room 7 went to MOTAT and the Museum to learn about old fashioned technology, phones, computers and how people lived a few 100 years ago.

I liked your special effects they were used pretty well through out the movie. But you could of had a better setting for the forest with the cave men.

I think you could make it more understandable and less all over the place the exprssions I think could also be alot better but other wise it was a decent movie for year fours atleast.
I liked your camera shots and the camera angles. I liked your time traveling part. It was pretty good for your ages.

Hello. The movie was so great that I think that my friend Krieg would stare deep into the movie and he would of shed one tear. The audio is a bit off but keep up the great work.

Moe said it was funny how the cave men were looking in the camera
at the end.
Wiremu liked how the watch fell out of the 2 girls hands and then the cave men found it then they teleport to the class room .
I liked it how you animated and edited the short film.
We chose this because it was about the cave men and the two young girls.

Did you write or learn about back in time? Our reading group watched the video two times and we got really really interested with the two girls with the watch and kept moving from place to place.
Nadal wondered when did this happened and Francisco wanted to know how long this video took.
Pepe was interested in the cave mans that were acting very funny and strange.
